The Nightmare Scenario: An Election Up in the Air For Months
It may be days or weeks, if not months, before we know the final results of this presidential election. And given the Republican control of the government, if Karl Rove is on the losing side, it could be years: He will take every issue (if he is losing) to its ultimate appeal in every state he can.
The cost of such litigation will be great - with the capital of citizens' trust in their government, and its election processes, sinking along with the nation's (if not the world's) financial markets, which loathe uncertainty. After Bush v. Gore, is there any doubt how the high Court would resolve another round? This time, though, the Court, too, will pay more dearly. With persuasive power as its only source of authority, the Court's power will diminish as the American people's cynicism skyrockets.
It does not seem to trouble either Rove or Bush that they are moving us toward a Twenty-first Century civil war -- and that, once again, Southern conservatism is at its core. Only a miracle, it strikes me, can prevent this election from descending into post-election chaos. But given the alternatives, a miracle is what I am hoping for. From Ethernet:
None of the organizations that are monitoring the voting precincts has authority to void the electoral process. However, since there are legitimate concerns about the authenticity of electoral results, protests might result in violence that could trigger the martial law mandates that are already in place. An emergency of this sort might involve suspension of the Constitution and the seizure of dictatorial powers.
Karl Marx liked Democracy for this very reason. In Germany, gridlock at the Reichstag contributed to Hitler’s rise to power. The American congress is in a similar situation with the two major parties almost evenly divided. With the Constitution already eased out of the picture our entire government is controlled by a tiny number of votes and the rabid adherents to the two parties unrestrained by the Constitution will do almost anything to gain power.
The farcical nature of attempting to select a righteous government by allowing universal suffrage in a nation with a 30 percent illiteracy rate is apparently lost on all of the media and most of our citizens. It is nevertheless a recipe for anarchy and we may get just that.Larry Abraham raises the question of the consequences of another terrorist attack occurring simultaneously resulting in "a nightmare of unfathomable consequences and chaos".
From the Independent:
The whole country - never mind the woefully inadequate electoral system - is now living on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Little wonder, then, if many are predicting some sort of collapse on 2 November. "Only a miracle, it strikes me, can prevent this election from descending into post-election chaos," John Dean, the Watergate-era White House counsel who knows a thing or two about electoral dirty tricks, wrote last week.
The US Media is set to declare this election uncertain and foment chaos in order to justify a martial police state. Psy-ops will be done to foment this chaos at the polls as special agents seek to drive the electorate into a schitzophrenic rage.
An even more fantastic deployment of scalar terrorism is the use of scalar weapons in "psychoenergetics" mode, the mode and wave patterns that affect the human minds in the targeted interference zone. This becomes a true "enemy within," for the weapons are operating within our own minds themselves, inducing thought forms and feelings, without the people themselves being aware of the true cause. The psychoenergetics aspect of the scalar terrorists is to create polarization within the targeted population, to cause neighbor to fight with neighbor creating increasing enmity, chaos and division. Why fight us if they can make us fight each other? Why declare a war if they can bring about a civil war and make us kill each other?
